Universidad Veracruzana is the parent organization of the Latin American COIL Network until the formation of our civil association is complete.
Third Latin American Coil Network congress coming soon from June 12th to 16th, 2023.
The Latin American COIL Network is an interdisciplinary network focused on the development of Collaborative Online International Learning methodology at a higher education level. It is being formed by Latin American universities and institutions around the world that are integrating COIL methodology in courses and which wish to do research in this area.
The Latin American COIL Network has three main objectives:
- To enhance communication between practitioners and institutions engaged with COIL in Latin America.
- To promote practice and research on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) at a higher education level in Latin America.
- To expand the benefits of the COIL methodology as a strategy to internationalize the curriculum at a higher education level by collaborating with other national and international networks and organizations that promote Collaborative Online International Learning.

The Latin American COIL Network provides the following services:
- Access to webinars
- Partnering with other members of the Network
- Discount on the Latin American COIL Network annual conference registration
- Access to materials about COIL virtual exchange
- Contact with COIL Trainers
The Latin American COIL Network has communication with its members through email, and a forum on the Microsoft Teams virtual platform. It mainly focuses on organizing webinars and the annual congress. It shares events that are sent by other institutions that are members of the Network, profiles of teachers seeking to make a COIL pair, and contact information of COIL trainers to member institutions. The Latin American COIL Network offers advice on COIL research to member institutions that request it as well as free access to materials.

The conference fee is approximately $ 100 USD per participant.
